Beck Retail Park sits on the outskirts of Wakefield town centre and prior to its refurbishment, was largely unlet and unloved. We worked with major stakeholders and Aberdeen Asset Management to undertake its wholesale refurbishment over a three year period.  

Work included the complete reconfiguration of the car parks to dramatically improve traffic flow as well as the amalgamating, adapting and renewal of frontages across the Scheme. Work facilitated new lettings to incoming tenants such as Matalan and B&M Homestores.

Relocation of the scheme’s sub-station, working in close proximity to Network Rail’s major lines and a sensitive Beck running beneath the length of the car park all presented their challenges but we were delighted with the results.
